I cried.
I haven't cried in months.
It wasn't the sobbing,
gasping for breath,
pleading for death
kind of cry...

It was the soft, innocent,
loving cry.
The one that only allows for
one, maybe two tears to
fall.

If I could, I would change

I would trade my life,
for her's.

She deserves it much more than I.
Because... she is my mother.
She is everything I am today.

She's the reason I fight for what I believe in.
The reason I get up out of bed, go to school,
and put up with typical teenage drama.
